More Information: The first steel rolling mill in the country was established in Ahvaz to produce various types of simple rebars, ribbed and corner rebars.
Production lines with equipment installation and assembly of machines with an annual capacity of 65,000 tons, were launched in 1346 and gradually other workshops and processes were added to it. After the glorious Islamic Revolution, this industrial complex with various lines and products of rolling and steelmaking processes was named the National Industrial Steel Group of Iran.
With the implementation of development and reconstruction projects of production lines during 1371, 1383 and 1385, production capacity was increased and product quality, operation systems and production control were upgraded.
Now, this huge complex with an annual capacity of 1,435,000 tons of steel products and 430,000 tons of steel ingots, while meeting most of the country's needs, is one of the major exporters of steel products.
