Hirman’s waterproofing products (Isogam) range in thickness from 1.5 to 6 mm and in roll weight from 20 to 60 kg. They are constructed using one, two, or three robust carrier layers integrated with polymer-modified bitumen. Depending on the specific application, these carrier layers consist of various materials—such as reinforced tissue (with fiberglass threads) or polyester fibers (stitched or needle-punched)—each offering distinct characteristics.
To modify the bitumen and enhance its physical properties, APP or SBS modifiers—along with other compounds—are employed to achieve the desired performance in the final product. Products formulated with APP (Atactic Polypropylene) or SBS are classified as Type A waterproofing membranes. Adding polymers to bitumen enhances its performance, providing stability at high temperatures (above +130°C) and resistance to cold-temperature cracking (down to -30°C), while also optimizing adhesion and flexibility.
Currently, the Hirman Manufacturing Group produces 30 product grades across various categories, each suited to specific climatic conditions.
